King Thor

Issue #1

We back to time travel shenanigans with Gorr? I love how much Thor still loves Loki despite everything. Fun little lying back and forth they had.

Issue #2

Loki’s greatest desire being for both Thor and himself dead is dark. After all their battles, they reach out to each other when facing the end. Those last pages are so incredibly powerful.

Issue #3

I’m not quite feeling the scale of everything getting so much bigger and bigger but I’m liking the characters that shine through during the conflict.

Issue #4

Sort of mixed feelings. I appreciate everything this story was going for conceptually, but I found the prose to be a bit stale. A lot of highlighted words like “All-Father” and “spirit of thunder” and such, but they felt so heavily brought out that there was a lessened impact from the meaning. The connections made were nice, sure, but when they’re so thickly written, it comes across as clumsy and too obvious. So it was a nice read, but not the epic closer to this beautiful saga that was intended. Honestly, I think that’s still okay.
