New History of the DC Universe

Issue #1

Seeing all this history plotted out this way, event after event, really shows how silly this all is. Not even in a specifically negative way, it’s just so much stuff that’s just mixing with each other and doing a lot.

Issue #2

Um actually Richard Dragon is much better than Lady Shiva 🤓. It’s weird they showcased Cyborg as part of the Justice League then have him still be part of the Teen Titans. They should have just left Cyborg with his Teen Titans roots in the first place.

Issue #3

W Milestone love.

Issue #4

Also loving these covers by the way. A lot that’s crammed into here, but hey, Waid was able to at least try to uncomplicate things. More of an encyclopedia than a book though.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
