 What If? The Punisher

Decent story. Good use of the What If format but felt like this was not too big of a change to Peter or that it didn’t showcase the meaningfulness of the changes: what does killing do to him internally? Too much events resulted in the same outcomes. Still working at the Bugle, still dating Gwen, etc. Just too much familiarity given the subject matter. I like presentation of something new within What Ifs, but it should be something new presented.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
