The narration switch was awesome. Love stories from Clark’s perspective as a journalist. Is this gonna be another origin for Lex going bald? Never been a fan of Lex and Clark being childhood friends but this is alright enough. Lex somewhat still screwing Clark over even though he needs his help is just who he is.

I just knew that EIEIO moment would come back. It’s a fun callback. Kinda All-Star Superman with how Lex is forced to develop and confront greater truths by seeing things from a superpowered position. 


Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor #3


Honestly a pretty standard Superman and Lex story. Lex’s better qualities should have been showcased more. I prefer a Lex that has genuine goodness in his heart or at least an ego driven desire to protect others as he sees fit, but we only see something like this slightly in the Smallville flashbacks. Just wanted more out of a humbled Lex.

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
