Doctor Fate is such a tragic hero. I like that it's always brought to attention how rough of a deal he got.

Not going to lie, kind of a lame background to getting powers and choosing an entirely new name, a whole new identity for yourself.

Young Dinah's design is crazy. I was surprised at how overtly feminist her origin was.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
