Super unflattering portrait of Stan here. I wonder if the focus will be more on the comic side of things or exploring True-Man as a boy. It'll probably be half and half, but I hope it swings more to the comic side.

The historical aspect of this is just so strange. It really does feel like there are two separate stories being told, which hurts them both. I think the best stuff from this combination was the direction of Wesley taking his comic books and trying to implement the ideas of real solutions, (which seem anithetical to how comics operate) and struggling against the fear and manipulation of the world.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
