Batman (2016) Issue #21

That one minute fight and overtime comment are absolute gold.

The Flash (2016) Issue #21

Big stepup from the first issue. A lot more plot heavy and I appreciated Flash and Batman's friendship being displayed here.

Batman (2016) Issue #22

Bruce and his dad get a good moment together. I like that Thomas' message to Bruce is "don't be Batman" (although I don't like how it's expanded upon)

The Flash (2016) Issue #22

This crossover felt a little disconnected, just held together by these big headline worthy moments. Not bad, just makes for kind of a disjointed read in full. I want to see more interactions between Bruce and Barry, their friendship was an unexpected highlight here.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
