Marvel Super Hero Contest of Champions Issue #1

I like the comedy here, felt very fluid. The Fantastic Four stuff was especially funny. I think the conflict is kind of lame, with there being no true incentive for the heroes, but the identity of the woman could be interesting.

Muddied concept and muddied execution. Was hoping for a lot more fun interactions. The country heroes was somewhat interesting but handled pretty sloppily. I'm enjoying the art a lot. I guess this is the first time DD and Iron Fist meet.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
