JLA: World Without Grown-Ups

JLA: World Without Grown-Ups Issue #1

Really fun and creative issue. Impulse is always funny and got a few emotional moments here. I like how this was an event that really only the kids could have solved and that it made sense for them to figure things out. Also some great chemistry with the YJ trio.

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
