Future State: Wonder Woman Issue #1

One of the most recent examples of having an interesting character solely on the value of their design alone. The story was not super captivating this issue, but the art is gorgeous, love all the fantastical creatures.

Love this art. Could see this artist doing a killer Swamp-Thing (character and run.) I like the ending about the hero failing and overcoming their flaws, but I think there needed to be a little more of an epilogue to truly sell it.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
