Future State: Superman: Worlds of War Issue #1

I loved seeing the different conversations about Superman, and Sadie saying it was Clark Kent that saved her. PKJ just gets it. At his core, Superman is a good person. That's why he's Superman. The other stories I was mostly meh on, but I did enjoy the writing for the Black Racer and how it uses death as a theme.

Future State: Superman: Worlds of War Issue #2 

The Many Deaths of Superman is by far the standout story here. Having the other stories take up space here just shows the drastic difference in quality.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
