Future State: Justice League

Future State: Justice League Issue #1

Strong first issue for this new Justice League. I liked the new Legion of Doom characters and their deaths being used as a gag. Hyperclan being the real enemy was a cool decision. I didn't read Morrison's JLA run when I read this comic the first time, so now I have this new perspective on things.

Future State: Justice League Issue #2 

I really like the penciller on the JL story. This issue felt a little too by the numbers as a follow-up. Andy taking out the Martian didn't make sense. I do really like that despite actively trying to be distant, they picked up on each other's quirks and habits.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
