This didn't feel like a syndicate at all and the origins of the characters didn't really make me interested in seeing how the team formed.

Emerald Knight joining the Legion of Justice was unexpected. With two issues left, I wonder how long it lasts.

Pretty basic issues, but they're mostly just introductions for each team member and putting a bit of a spotlight on them, so it makes sense.

Crime Syndicate Issue #2

Decent motivation for nihilist Owlman. Good use of speech bubbles for that ending page with Power Ring and Owlman. I liked Owlman's monologue at the beginning, too.

Crime Syndicate Issue #1

Nice origin for Ultraman. The dialogue for some characters here feels off. Namely for Owlman and Ultraman.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
