Batman: Year One

Batman: Year One Issue #1

Love the story of Gordon learning how to adapt to life in Gotham with strength, while Bruce attacks the criminal underbelly by trying to instill fear into them. Both stories of perseverance. Bruce really feels like a classical character, a myth of a man that becomes more. It’s awesome.

Batman: Year One Issue #2

The focus on Gordon is really cool. An honest cop trying to make his way in a corrupt city, while a nearly inhuman vigilante cleans up crime with his own methods is an interesting way to tell the story of Batman, and it’s done well. The description of the characters actions and feelings add to the street level nature of the story.

Batman: Year One Issue #3

The slight corruption of Gordon showing he’s just a man, flawed as anybody, just wow.

Batman: Year One Issue #4

Great down to Earth story of a little bit more than humble beginnings.
