Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #1
nice start. love the beginning insight into kara's mind. hearing her say that she's always thinking about krypton was definitely sad. can't wait to see this progression
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #2
some notes:
-the colors are gorgeous
-the contrast between the advanced/serious vocabulary and her farm/countryside upbringing is funny
-supergirl feels likes more of an actual character than in some of the other comics i've read with her. she's angry and frustrated, but she's also trying to do good and rise against her trauma
-a scene about how to wash your hands ends up being great and working as an important part of the story wow
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #3
wow. love the themes of "loss" and being "lost". i think the colorist especially did a great job at creating the feeling of smallness
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #4
i love how there's this focus on space and alien culture that many comic books are afraid to do. supergirl has wonderful characterization
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #5
Ruthye has been a great companion for Kara
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #6
great expansion of her origin story. you can really see how supergirl's past has lead her to become the woman she is now
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #7
good chapter, a little too focused on writing about the spectacle of supergirl's strength for me but narratively i get it
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Issue #8
feel like this tied everything up WONDERFULLY. great conclusion to both ruthye's story and supergirl's struggles with her past
