Good issue, really really dislike the choice of making Alan Scott gay. The relationship with his life is such an integral part of his character, and him never really loving her takes away from it so much. Oh well.

I felt like the ending was a little rushed because each issue was just buildup and introduction, but at the same time I get that this is just a prologue in the grand scheme of things. The pace is what really was of the most, but tons of good character moments

Love the Thomas Wayne redemption.

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
