Giant-Size Gwen Stacy

 Giant-Size Gwen Stacy

This was a mess. The winks and nudging towards stuff that happens in the future became a crutch and got tired quickly. The scaling of this was way bigger than it needed to be/should have been. The x-men should not have appeared at all. Just an overall mess of weird decisions. I did really like the page of Norman being crazy around old school gangsters though

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
