Amazing Spider-Man: Parallel Lives

GREAT story. Mary Jane's inner sadness is such a strong trait and it is writtten excellently in relation to her thoughts about Peter. This is a great comic that shows that they are meant to be, not because they are simply just meant to be, but because they chose each other. Despite their fears, insecurities, and everything else, they believe in the strength of their relationship. Beautiful.

X-Men vs The Brood

Issue #1 Interesting to see how the different Brood factions operate. One that just wants to kill all they can and propagate and one that seeks to protect the Queen and maintain a hierarchy. Hannah is a tragic character.  Issue #2 Decent special. I liked some of the writing like Wolverine being God’s strangest angel, but some of the religious elements felt too melodramatic when there could have been a real connection to the faith of the characters compared to the trials they were put through. Pretty good prose, rough dialogue.
